-    Do you have an eye for detail, as well as a view of the bigger picture?
-    Do you want to make a difference?

The RCSLT is the professional body for speech and language therapists in the UK. We:

  • Provide leadership and influence
  • Facilitate research and innovation
  • Support best practice

We do all of this to achieve our vision: Better lives for people with communication and swallowing needs.

About the role

Based within the Professional Development team, the Professional Guidance Manager will contribute to the formulation of RCSLT strategy in response to professional practice needs and be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of their own portfolio of projects. The post-holder will be allocated a number of subject areas, where they will be expected to develop specialist knowledge and build relationships with key stakeholders. They will need to be flexible to work across all subject areas, though an initial focus on speech and language therapy for children and young people is likely. The Professional Guidance Manager will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including the Policy and Public Affairs team to ensure a smooth transition from policy to professional practice.
