Catherine Renfrew memorial award

This award honours the memory of Catherine Renfrew, who worked as an ambassador to the profession by raising the profile of speech and language therapy around the world. Catherine's overseas travel meant a great deal to her and enabled her to forge many friendships and connections. She died in 2002.

This award gives an SLT the opportunity to follow in her footsteps by networking throughout the globe and bordering the horizons of speech & language therapy.

The award of £500 can be used to help fund a visit to a course or conference outside the UK and outside the therapist's country of employment. It aims to help the continuing professional development of the SLT, allowing them to forge links worldwide.

The award winner has to have been an RCSLT member for two years prior to application, and for a year after the funded trip takes place.
