The 2008 Life after Stroke Awards

Speech and language therapy to be focus of 2008's Excellence in Stroke Care Award

The Stroke Association has announced it will present its 2008 Excellence in Stroke Care Award to an SLT who has demonstrated his or her commitment to raising the quality of care for people experiencing difficulties following stroke.

The Excellence in Stroke Care Award, sponsored by Fresenius Kabi, distributors of Thick and Easy, is one of eight award categories in the Stroke Association's annual Life After Stroke Awards - together with the Courage Awards, the Susie Hulks Memorial Award for Art; the Carer's Award; the Corporate and Trust Supporter Awards; The Stroke Association Award for Volunteering and the Stroke Club Award.

The ceremony will take place at Claridge's, London, on 25 June 2008. The winners will be invited to stay in a central London hotel the evening before, and will accept their award from a celebrity supporter of The Stroke Association at the ceremony.
