Penny Harrison Memorial Fund

Collage of Penny Harrison

The RCSLT had been generously left £5000 by the family of Penny Harrison, a speech and language therapist.

Penny worked closely with the RCSLT over many years: had been involved on projects with assistants; carried out service reviews on behalf of the RCSLT and attended Council as Chair of TASLTM.

RCSLT student members, newly-qualified practitioner members, and assistant practitioner members are invited to apply for a £50 subsidy for their Scientific Conference delegate fee, from the Penny Harrison Memorial Fund.

If you would like to apply:

1. Please send your name, email address, telephone number, and RCSLT membership number to pennyharrisonfund@rcslt.org . Please also note if you are currently a student, NQP or assistant practitioner member.

2. If you are successful in your application, you will be sent a unique identification code and Penny Harrison Memorial Fund booking form.

3. Please submit this booking form, including the code, via the usual booking procedure by email, fax, or post (details on booking form).

Please note that the subsidy is offered per person, and not per day of attendance. Penny Harrison grants will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, to the first 100 applicants. Grants will only be awarded to applicants who are registered as an RCSLT student/NQP/assistant practitioner member at the time of booking. If you are successful in gaining a Penny Harrison Memorial Fund subsidy, you will not be eligible to apply for a minor grant.
