Speech and Language Therapy:
Partners in progress: spreading the word

Members of the speech and language therapy community are invited to submit abstracts of papers concerned with research and new concepts in undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development, for the March 2009 RCSLT Scientific Conference which will be held in London.

One of the RCSLT's goals is to foster and promote high quality research. The 2009 Scientific Conference provides an opportunity for researchers, clinicians and practitioners interested in speech, language, communication and swallowing to share, discuss and promote their work with peers and colleagues.

The title of the conference will be: `Partners in progress: spreading the word'
The theme will be: Sharing ways to improve working with communication and swallowing problems through clinical development and research. This conference will provide an interactive forum for practitioners, researchers and educationalists from speech and language therapy and related disciplines to advance knowledge and practice.

Abstracts form the main initial channel of communication of your research and have two principal uses:

  • represent the means by which the work is assessed for formal presentation at the Conference;
  • if published, will comprise an important part of the public record of the profession's scientific and clinical activities.
Those interested in presenting at the conference are invited to submit abstracts for one or more of the following categories:
  • Papers
  • Poster presentations
  • Symposia
  • Workshops
For further information including more on each category, guidelines for submission of abstracts, format for all submissions and the abstract submission table, download the full abstract submission form
Deadline for submissions is 31 May 2008.
