Research project grants in stroke

The Stroke Association is inviting applications for in the field of stroke.

In particular the Association is interested in receiving project applications, research project grants related to stroke prevention, acute treatment, assessment, ethnic factors, epidemiology, rehabilitation, psychology, non-hospital based long-term care and young stroke.

There are three funding streams: clinical trials, community care, and developmental research.
Grants are awarded to a maximum of £70,000 per year, for up to three years (up to a maximum of £210,000).

There are two deadlines for the receipt of research project grant applications per year.

The closing date for the receipt of applications for discussion at the June 2009 Research Awards Committee meeting is Friday 6 February 2009.

The closing date for the receipt of applications for discussion at the November 2009 Research Awards Committee meeting is Friday 20 July 2009.
