Becta announces £1.5m to support children with AAC needs

Becta, formerly the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency, has announced that it is now requesting applications for funding that will total up to £1.5m over three years from organisations working to support children with AAC needs.

The deadline for applications this year will be 29 May.

This is one of a series of initiatives to improve services for children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) set out in Better Communication - the SLCN Action Plan - and is being delivered on behalf of the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and the Department of Health (DH).
