Join the online debate on transforming community services
SLTs are being invited to join web forums set up to discuss a series of best practice guides for transforming community services.
The Department of Health (DH) has developed the transformational guides covering six areas of community services, which focus on high impact changes to improve the quality of care.
The Queen's Nursing Institute (QNI) has launched web forums for interested clinicians to comment on the Transforming Community Services guides.
QNI Director Rosemary Cook said: “We would really welcome the views and advice of allied health professionals on each of these guides, via the web forums, as their contribution to people cared for by these services is as vital as that of medicine and nursing.”
The QNI is also holding a workshop on 10 September for small groups of clinicians to consider each guide in detail and give feedback to the DH.
SLTs can join the web forums by registering at www.qniforum.org.uk
They are also being asked to pass on details about the forums to their own contacts so that more clinicians in the front-line of delivery can comment on the guides.
