Recruiting SLTs for Guideline Development Group (GDG)

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has asked the National Clinical Guidelines Centre for Acute and Chronic Conditions (NCGCACC) to develop an evidence-based clinical guideline on Rehabilitation after Stroke and is currently looking to recruit a Speech Therapist for the Guideline Development Group (GDG).
We need this health care professional to work with the GDG on a Cooptee basis and have experience and a special interest in Aphasia. Applicants should ideally have experience of working with committees and working groups and a commitment to evidence-based medicine. Knowledge of NICE and the guideline development process as well as an understanding of systematic reviews, critical appraisal methods and health economics analysis are desirable (Download Job Application Forms below).
The successful candidate will be expected to attend and actively participate in approximately two meetings over an 18 month period starting 28th April, 2010. The GDG is supported by the Chairman of the group and by the methodological team at the NCGCACC which consists of reviewers, information scientists, health economists, a project manager and the guideline lead.
