Early Support review of materials – have your say

19th June 2006

The Early Support programme is reviewing its materials, in response to comments from users over the past two years.

Early Support is the central government mechanism to improve the quality, consistency and coordination of services for young disabled children and their families across England.

The programme is funded by the Department for Education and Skills through Sure Start and has been developed in conjunction with the Department of Health and the voluntary sector. Programme materials are available free of charge to parents and those who work directly with young children and their families, in England.

This is the most wide-ranging review of the materials since they were published in 2004. If you have used the materials, either as a family or a professional, and have comments to make, the Early Support team would like to hear from you.

You might wish to comment on:
  • Early Support Family file
  • Information for parents booklets (on various disabilities)
  • Background information file (from the blue box, booklets about 'the system')
  • Early Support Service audit tool
Further information is available at: www.earlysupport.org.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=86

The deadline for comments is 21 July.
