Bursaries available for Parkinson’s disease conference
This one-day conference - aimed at neurologists, neurological nurses, Parkinson's disease nurse specialists, geriatricians, GPs and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of Parkinson's disease - will focus on the issues and challenges involved in the diagnosis and management of Parkinson's disease.
The programme will include interactive workshop sessions on palliative care support and implementing the new National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guideline for Parkinson's disease.
In addition to talks on the challenges of diagnosing Parkinson's disease, managing drug treatment effectively, and issues around dementia and Parkinson's disease, there will be a specific session on swallowing issues by Julia Johnson, RCSLT adviser and clinical specialist SLT, King's College, London.
