In response to concerns about the support for children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and major changes in the education and health system, I CAN,  the children’s communication charity, and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) have undertaken a national review of support for children with SLCN in England.

Bercow: Ten Years On provides an independent review of the state of provision for children’s speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).

The project includes several phases, including gathering evidence regarding support services, engaging with relevant stakeholders and experts, and influencing and informing national and local decision-makers.

The report was published in spring 2018, bringing together the outputs of the review and local and national recommendations.
