These working groups form part of our current project on pre-registration eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS) competencies.

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is looking for enthusiastic individuals to form a community of practice (CoP) to develop resources to support the new pre-registration eating, drinking, and swallowing competencies.

Purpose

To establish a CoP that will prioritise and develop resources to help HEIs, practice educators and learners achieve and understand the pre-registration EDS competencies.

Frequency

Six to eight weekly meetings via zoom for 60-90 minutes, with documents to be shared and reviewed during interim between meetings.

Timescale

The group will start in June 2022. Initially members will commit to a term until October 2023 at which point, they can finish or choose to stay on for longer. The group will run to 2026 or until it is no longer required.

Commitment

As the materials are developed, individuals will be expected to provide input on their content, review draft resources and comment on changes.
