Euan MacDonald

Euan is the co-founder of the charity Euan’s Guide, the disabled access review website and app. After being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2003, he moved from London back to Edinburgh to be with his family and fundraise for MND research. In 2006, along with his father Donald, Euan established the Euan MacDonald Centre for MND research and helped to set up The Voicebank Project, which is today known as Speak:Unique. Ten years after his diagnosis, Euan’s Guide (www.euansguide.com) was created by Euan and his sister as a place for disabled people, their families and friends to share knowledge of accessible bars, restaurants, shops, hotels and many more places online. The resource aims to be a friendly, honest and empowering alternative to hours of web searching and phone calls before visiting somewhere new for the first time. Euan uses a Tobii eye-gaze device.
