 Aims and Objectives 


  1. To update members on the work to date at a national level on developing a system-wide approach to improving outcomes for adults with dysphagia in partnership with other government departments
  2. To provide an overview of the prevalence and incidence of dysphagia (including the definition)
  3. To disseminate the findings from the RCSLT’s research priority setting exercise in dysphagia
  4. To identify the role of the speech and language therapy profession to support system change and improve outcomes for patients/service users at a local level
  5. To use learning from services/resources from across the UK to support SLTs to engage key stakeholders in system change
  6. To agree actions to be taken forward
