The New Zealand Speech-language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA) 2020 Conference has now been announced, with the theme ‘Aoraki Iho Ake: Grounded – Aspiring – Connected’. RCSLT members are invited to submit abstracts for paper, workshop and poster presentations. The closing date for submissions is 17 March.

The conference, which will be held in Christchurch from 31 August to 2 September, seeks to encapsulate the breadth of the speech and language therapy profession both in New Zealand and globally, promoting conversations that strengthen SLTs’ knowledge and their ability to handle the increasing demands of practice in 2020.

The NZSTA welcomes submissions focused on extending the knowledge base through research; clinical experience and innovations; service and educational delivery models; responses to practical and professional challenges; and service user voices and partnerships.
Submissions accepted by the conference planning committee will be grouped under nominated themes for presentation at the 2020 conference. Successful applicants will be notified on 18 May.
