The new RCSLT website - an enhanced user experience

As part of the RCSLT's initiative to enhance the digital user experience for our members, we are developing a new website as a key component of the integrated digital project.

Improved benefits for members

The improved website will be fresh, modern and easy to navigate, and will feature many online resources, designed to assist our members; professional networks and the profession in general.

There will also be a new community area where members can network and build relationships with other members.

We have been hard at work, alongside our digital partner We Are Friday, to finesse the search facility; creating a single log-in for all areas; making the navigation across the site a smoother overall experience; creating a better CPD area, and even adding a personalised homepage (once you have completed your member profile).

We very much look forward to unveiling these improved member benefits when the website launches.

Member involvement in the redesign of the website

We want the new website to provide our members with an improved user experience, and in light of this we have been keen to ensure that members are as involved as possible in how the website takes shape.

With this in mind, we run a monthly user panel, where we invite RCSLT members to come to our London offices to meet with the digital team, to offer feedback on the work that we have done so far. The panel is one of the most important parts of the digital transformation project and it's not too late to get involved in this. Follow this link to find out how you can get involved and have your say on the way the new website is taking shape: https://rcslt-digital-project.org/2017/07/07/why-not-join-us-at-one-of-our-workshops/

Our Hub team has also been touring the country to keep members updated on the progress of the digital project, through a series of presentations.

Resources to help you through the new digital landscape

These big changes will mean a whole new look for the website, and there will be a digital guide to assist everyone on their new digital journey with the RCSLT.

In addition, there will be a help and support section, which will feature frequently asked questions, such as:

  • What will happen when I log in to the new website for the first time?
  • What happened to my bookmarked pages?
  • What will happen to my CPD diary?
  • What about Basecamp?
