What is CPLOL?

CPLOL is an umbrella body for 35 European professional organisations of speech and language therapists/logopedists which spans 32 countries.

CPLOL stands for the Standing Liaison Committee of Speech and Language Therapists/Logopedists in the European Union. The acronym 'CPLOL' refers to the French name: Comité Permanent de Liaison des Orthophonistes/Logopèdes de l'Union Européenne.

CPLOL is made up of SLT organisations from both EU and non-EU countries. It was created in 1988 to provide a forum to discuss collaboration between SLT associations at an international level. This includes the professional profile, charter of ethical practice and an analysis of professional SLT education across Europe. Find out more on CPLOL
