Lucy Mackechnie is the Clinical Development Lead for the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy Team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. She has many years of experience working as a Neuro specialist speech and language therapist (SLT) in a range of different settings including acute, neuro rehabilitation and community, specialising in complex neuro communication disorders. In addition, Lucy has developed the role of Clinical Development Lead working with newly qualified SLTs and SLTs returning to work, supporting their preceptorship to provide consistent, structured and supportive development.
