Amelia is a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist who is particularly passionate about supporting and advocating for children and young people with developmental language disorder, ADHD and autistic individuals. Amelia trained and started her SLT career in London and is now based in Leeds. Amelia currently works across the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service, Neurodevelopmental Team in the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) and Leeds Trinity University.
Amelia leads a digital resource website, the MindMate Neurodiversity Information Hub, as part of her CYPMHS role which strongly advocates for needs-led support and neurodivergent-affirming practice. This role includes a range of city-wide training across education and health as well as co-production of content with families and young people. In her spare time, Amelia loves to be with her family and two children.
