Kirsty Cross is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist who has worked in NHS children’s services in Mid Essex since 1998. She works clinically with children with significant speech sound difficulties in an enhanced provision in an infant school. Her interests are in the links between communication differences and emotional health, and she has a post-graduate certificate in child and adolescent mental wellbeing. Kirsty is an experienced practice educator and committed to supporting the development of SLT students and apprentices, as well as encouraging qualified clinicians to return to practice. She is currently studying on the Medical and Clinical Education (MACE) programme at the University of Essex. She also works for Provide Community, an innovative, employee-owned health service provider. She became an SLT Legacy Practitioner in 2024.
