The RCSLT is seeking new members to join the Outcome Programme Steering Group.
About the Outcomes Programme
This innovative and ambitious programme of work comprises a number of workstreams that play a key role in the delivery of the RCSLT Strategic Vision for 2022-2027. Specifically, the Outcomes Programme is supporting the following ambition: “evidence-based practice firmly established in the profession and outcomes measured routinely”.
Through our work on the RCSLT Online Outcome Tool (ROOT), the Outcomes Programme is supporting the speech and language therapy profession to evidence the impact of the interventions that they deliver. The reports generated by the ROOT inform the work of individual practitioners and service leaders (who are reviewing the impact of services within their organisations) and can be shared with senior decision-makers including commissioners of services.
Furthermore, through the Outcomes Programme, the RCSLT has received national recognition as leaders in real world data and have been invited to present on the topic at various events and conferences.
Our priorities for 2024-2025 include:
- Supporting the roll-out of the ROOT across the profession
- Continuing to build the profile for the work with external stakeholders
- Monitoring health inequalities and unwarranted variation
- Providing support to externally-led projects on data and outcomes
