This full-day, in-person course in LEGO therapy is designed for those ready to deepen their skills in running Brick Clubs having finished the Certified Facilitator Course. Through playful, hands-on learning the course focuses on playful facilitation, experiential learning and improving outcomes.

This course is for SLTs working with people of all ages with acquired or developmental dysarthria. Part 1 is a refresher covering neurological/neuroanatomical issues, features of dysarthria and approaches to treatment. Part 2 focuses on treatment, including urgent considerations, what to do and when to do it.

Day 1: Appraising the reliability of research. Evidence for different methods of delivery of intervention including tiers 1, 2 and 3, the role of SLTs and evidence-based pathways to intervention. Day 2: Interventions at sentence, narrative and word levels. Book at least 5 days before course date.

Many children and young people who have SEMH have also experienced complex trauma, affecting their development and ability to interact effectively. Learn about types of trauma, impact on development and understand the relevant neuroscience. Gain practical, evidence-based, ways to support children with attachment issues.
