RCSLT appreciation of Lord Ramsbotham

Today is the service of thanksgiving for the life of General Lord Ramsbotham GCB, CBE.

To mark it, the RCSLT is publishing an appreciation of Lord Ramsbotham, our first ever Honorary Life Vice-President. The appreciation details the many years of tireless support Lord Ramsbotham gave the speech and language therapy profession. It also sets out his long-standing, dedicated advocacy for better lives for people with speech, language and communication needs, especially children and young people, and particularly the most vulnerable, and those in touch with the criminal justice system.

This included in his role as a member, later Chair, and finally co-Chair, of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Speech and Language Difficulties.

We remain deeply grateful for all the advice, help, and support Lord Ramsbotham gave us.
