RCSLT Scotland Day 2026 – Making an impact where it matters most: Working differently to improve outcomes for people with communication and swallowing needs
This year’s RCSLT Scotland Day is taking place on 10th September at the Trades Hall in Glasgow from from 09:15 – 16:00.
We have an excellent line-up of topics, shaped by what members told us they wanted to explore. The day will focus on practical examples of working differently, including partnership, prevention, public health, digital innovation, leadership and influencing.
There will also be opportunities to hear lived experience, think about how we better support marginalised groups, and take practical learning back into your own contexts.
Aims and Objectives
By attending the Scotland Day 2026, delegates will:
- explore how digital tools and innovation can improve access, outcomes, efficiency and communication across services
- learn from practical examples of services working differently through partnership, prevention, public health, and whole-system approaches
- explore how SLTs can better support underrepresented and marginalised groups
- develop a deeper understanding of what it is like to live with communication difficulties, poverty, and trauma
- strengthen confidence in leadership, influencing, and advocacy across systems
- identify practical learning and actions to take back to their own context
- network and build stronger professional links across Scotland.
Registrations open on Wednesday 17 June 2026.
