Please save the date for the next RCSLT Research Champions Workshop taking place on 3 March 2027 via Zoom.

By attending the RCSLT Research Champions workshop 2027, Research Champions from across the UK will:

  • Hear about the latest developments in SLT research
  • Network with other RCSLT Research Champions to build and extend connections within the SLT research community
  • Receive updates from the RCSLT’s Research and Outcomes team
  • Showcase their work to the SLT research community
  • Share ideas on how to include/shape evidence base and research activities in their area

Developed with a small group of RCSLT Research Champions, we are ensuring that this event addresses your research needs and offers the chance to connect and collaborate with colleagues who are also on their research journey.

How to submit a poster abstract

If you are already a registered RCSLT Research Champion, head over to the RCSLT Research Champions Professional Network and complete the online abstract submission form. Sign up to become an RCSLT Research Champion. Once you are signed up, you will get access to the RCSLT Research Champions  Professional Network.

Please note: you must be an RCSLT member and registered RCSLT Research Champion to attend this event or submit a poster.

Deadline for abstract submissions: Friday 2 October 2026, 12pm.

What is an RCSLT Research Champion?

RCSLT members are welcome to become RCSLT Research Champions.

The network is completely free to join and a great way to stay in touch and hear about the latest developments in research and evidence-based practice.

RCSLT Research Champions are SLTs who:

  • Share the RCSLT vision of an evidence-based and research-active profession
  • Have experience of appraising and applying a range of evidence to clinical practice
  • Facilitate the application and gathering of evidence within their organisations
  • Use EBP, audit and evaluation, quality improvement and research to support practice
