Announcing the new CPD Portfolio

3 September 2026

Our new online CPD tool is coming soon, and current CPD Diary users can get ready for the changeover.

Over the past year we have been working hard to create a replacement for our online continuing professional development (CPD) tracking tool, the CPD Diary. We asked members to contribute ideas to help us name the new platform, and we are happy to announce that the new platform will be called the CPD Portfolio. A huge thank you to everyone who sent in suggestions!

CPD Portfolio launch

The big launch is planned for late October this year, so watch out for more details in e-news and on the website.

Being able to record your CPD activities is vital for all SLTs at every career stage. The new CPD Portfolio is designed with the help of member feedback. It offers much greater usability, making it easy to visualise your progress and plan the next steps in your career. It is tailored to our professional and clinical frameworks.

Dates for your diary

CPD Diary on hold from 23 September: to help us get ready for launch, we are preparing to put the CPD Diary on hold. So from midnight on Wednesday, 23 September, you will not be able to add more entries to the Diary.

Continuing access to your content after 23 September

Certified members: you will need to download your records from the CPD Diary and save to the new  CPD Portfolio. But you have plenty of time to access your content after September, as you will continue to be able to read and download your entries until mid-2028. You will also be able to store your downloaded CPD Diary content in the new CPD Portfolio, for easy access to your records.

NQPs: if you are already recording your goals on the CPD Diary, you will be moved to the new Portfolio automatically.

Webinar 5 November: please join us for a free, all-member webinar bringing you  all you need to know about getting started on the CPD Portfolio, and answering all your questions about moving between the platforms.

How to access the new CPD Portfolio

Once it’s launched in October, all members will have free access to the CPD Portfolio – and it’s all on one log-in! Just use your member log-in details to sign into the website and visit your member dashboard. Once you enter the CPD Portfolio, you’ll find full step-by-step instructions on how to add your records and make the most of all the new functions.
