I CAN the children’s communication charity has changed its name to Speech and Language UK: Changing young lives.
The charity says the name change reflects its ‘wider ambition to reach more of the 1.7 million children who have challenges with talking and understanding words’.
Undertaken as part of a wider organisational rebrand, the name change accompanies a refocused vision and mission for the charity, as well as a new website.
Commenting on the rebrand, RCSLT CEO Kamini Gadhok said: “We welcome Speech and Language UK’s ambition to more clearly communicate the work it does.
‘Together with ASLTIP colleagues, we are working with the charity to ensure that speech and language therapy provision is clearly signposted from their website so as to deliver a more joined-up provision for service users, their carers and families.
‘We look forward to continued partnership working with Speech and Language UK and applaud the continued work it does to support all those who work with children and young people.’
