The CPD Portfolio, our new, member-exclusive platform to manage and record your continuing professional development (CPD) is now live.
The CPD Portfolio has been designed with the career needs and ambitions of SLTs in mind, making it much easier to organise, evidence and plan your development at every stage of your career. The platform replaces the old CPD diary with a brand new and improved user experience, a more intuitive interface, and the ability to use it on your smartphone.

All RCSLT members have access to the CPD Portfolio as part of their membership and it’s all on a single log-in, simply use your existing member details to login.
Key features of the CPD Portfolio
The CPD Portfolio supports RCSLT members to manage your CPD through:
- a central platform to easily record evidence of CPD activities alongside reflection
- a user-friendly interface helping you to navigate through your CPD with ease
- the ability to log CPD on the go through your mobile or tablet
- built-in professional frameworks supporting the NQP goals process, the Overseas Qualified Practitioner process, with more to come!
The CPD Portfolio brings together planning, reflection and evidence in one place, so you can visualise where you are in your career, recognise what you have achieved and identify areas to develop. It also stays with you when you move jobs, letting you manage your CPD even if you hold multiple roles, and works across any sector or setting, making it equally useful for employed and independent SLTs.
More to come
This is only the beginning phase of our launch, we will be adding more features over the coming weeks and months, including:
- embedding the RCSLT Professional Development Framework so you can map yourself against it easily and set yourself development goals
- adding clinical frameworks such as the Eating, Drinking and Swallowing foundation competency framework
- the ability to download an organised and comprehensive visual CPD record if you are selected for the HCPC audit
- enhanced visual reporting and data exports
- plus lots more!
