24 November 2022
Around 130 delegates attended the event on Thursday 17 November at the Titanic Centre in Belfast
Bringing together SLTs from the independent sector, the NHS, students and SLT assistants, the event gave attendees the opportunity to network and discuss leadership challenges and opportunities in person.
Featuring poetry recitals, presentations on compassionate leadership, leadership in government, leadership for AHPs and a speech from a stroke survivor, the event aimed to inspire SLTs at all levels to realise the potential leadership opportunities within their current roles, and to have the confidence to step up.
Kamini Gadhok MBE, CEO of the RCSLT, also gave a speech at the conference ahead of her upcoming retirement in March 2023.
A delegate of the event said:
“I think the RCSLT office team and the hub members organised an event with just the right amount of content and it had a lovely atmosphere.
The afternoon flowed really well and I know everyone was taking away key learning and thoughts as relevant to their role. It was also so lovely to see everyone again in person – the networking opportunities were very valuable.”
Our thanks go to the Northern Ireland Hub members who helped setting up the event and provided support throughout the day.
