Following a successful two years, the RCSLT’s leadership programme, Inspire, is now open for applications for the third cohort which will begin later this year.
The programme was created to provide our members with a learning experience to support them on their leadership journey, and includes two in-person days, four virtual seminars and self-directed learning focusing on understanding self-awareness; leading a team; and promoting and developing your profession.
In addition, as part of the programme you will be supported in completing a project scope that will be utilised as a reflective learning tool during your Inspire journey.
As a participant you will learn how your leadership behaviours can affect the culture and climate you, your colleagues and your teams, work in. You will also understand how your actions and behaviours affect the experiences of patients and service users, and the quality of care provided to them.
There are only 18 places available, and it is open to RCSLT members across the whole of the UK who fulfil our selection criteria. We are particularly looking for members who aspire to take on leadership responsibility within 12 months of programme completion and/or those who have been appointed as a leader within the last 6 months.
To apply for the programme applicants will need to complete an application form which includes uploading a copy of their C.V. (max. 2 pages) and completing a 250-word expression of interest statement.
