The RCSLT is deeply saddened by the of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

Since our inception in 1945, we have had a personal relationship with the Royal Family; firstly with the Queen’s father, King George VI, who received speech therapy, and then with Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, who became the RCSLT’s patron in 1959.

In 1995, the Queen granted the RCSLT Royal College status. We are forever grateful to her for bestowing such a prestigious title to the representative organisation for speech and language therapists in the UK.

Our thoughts are with our Patron, The Countess of Wessex, and all of the Royal Family in their time of grief.
