Carolyn Allen is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Strathclyde and prior to starting independent practice in 2020, she worked in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde for 22 years. Her teaching specialisms include stammering, qualitative research and the practice development modules focussing on professional growth and the steady progression of strong therapeutic skills. Within her teaching, and as Placement Lead, Carolyn wants students to have confidence in their practice, and to develop the nuanced interactions that lead to highly effective therapy, and clients feeling heard and understood.
