Katy Williams is a lecturer in speech and language therapy at Wrexham University. Prior to joining the university in 2022, she worked as a specialist SLT in North Wales for almost 10 years. Her role in paediatrics core services included specialist work with secondary aged children, particularly those in Pupil Referral Units and Youth Justice contexts.
Katy is passionate about preparing students for real-world health care. As placement lead, she sources high quality clinical placements across North Wales, providing students with opportunities to bring theory to life in a variety of clinical settings. Her specialist teaching areas include child development, developmental language disorder and public health.
