Dr Lucy Rodgers is a Specialist SLT at Sussex Community NHS Trust, and Honorary Research Fellow at City St George’s. With 18 years of experience in paediatrics, her current research and clinical work focus on intervention for Speech Sound Disorder (SSD), and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
Lucy is a passionate advocate for practice-based evidence and the meaningful inclusion of clinicians and people with lived experience when developing new interventions. A member of the RADiSSD (Raising Awareness of Dosage in SSD) group, and a frequent speaker at local and nationwide SSD CENs. In her recent PhD, Lucy also co-designed a novel intervention for pre-school children with co-occurring SSD/DLD features, called ‘SWanS’ (Supporting Words and Sounds).
