Rosemary is an Aphasia Specialist SLT. Her clinical career spans more than 35 years, across NHS, independent and third sector settings. From 2015 to 2022 she was CEO then Director of Service at  Dyscover, a registered charity in Surrey which has provided SLT led long term support programmes and courses for people with aphasia since 1994. Rosemary has been instrumental in growing and developing the organisation and forging professional links with researchers, educators and service providers in the aphasia world.

In 2014, recognising the distinct and unmet needs of people living with a diagnosis of primary progressive aphasia (PPA), Rosemary set up a dedicated service at Dyscover for people living with this diagnosis, and their family members. Since 2022, her sole focus has been on developing and expanding the PPA service, which has gained recognition as a centre of expertise. Rosemary is committed to seeking opportunities to include and involve people with aphasia in education and raising awareness. She has shared her learning with clinical and research groups nationally and internationally and the Dyscover team regularly participate as Community Partners in aphasia research.

Rosemary regularly collaborates with Dr Anna Volkmer, Associate Professor at UCL, on research, education, and campaigning. In 2025, they launched the first national and international PPA Awareness Day, now in its second year.
