This new CEN has been set up in recognition that SLTs are seeing and treating more people with an FND (Functional Neurological Disorders) diagnosis. FND has traditionally been a criteria of exclusion to treatment by many rehabilitation services. Such a view is starting to change, but SLTs may now be in a position of feeling like they are working with a patient group but lack knowledge, skills, or an evidence base. We aim to share knowledge and provide support.
