Earlier this month we held our RCSLT Research Champions Workshop, bringing together people across the research community and launching our new clinical academic career webpages.
The workshop, which was open to all RCSLT Research Champions, offered delegates the opportunity to build connections within the speech and language therapy research community and to showcase their research to other SLTs.
The event also featured keynote speakers who updated attendees on the latest AHP research developments, and breakout workshops that provided information to help SLTs progress in their research careers and projects. View a recording of the event on our Research Champions workshop page.
We also launched our updated clinical academic careers webpages. Written by an expert member group led by Dr. Jackie McRae and Dr. Gemma Clunie, these pages will introduce the concept of the clinical academic career, inspire you with case studies and signpost you to a range of resources to build or grow your own clinical academic career.
The resources include two videos in which clinical academic SLTs share their journeys into research and some top tips for anyone wanting to get involved in research.
