Following the launch of the Professional Development Framework earlier this year, we have now launched a new interactive version to further support the workforce in their career journeys.
The RCSLT Professional Development Framework was first launched in March 2023 as a UK wide resource co-created by and for speech and language therapists.
The framework has been developed around:
- five core components (practitioner wellbeing, impact, inclusion and diversity, sustainability, co-production) and
- four domains of practice (professional practice; facilitation of learning; evidence, research and innovation; and leadership and management).
Each of the four domains has several subthemes with detailed topics to enable you to evaluate your current professional development level so you can identify your existing knowledge and skills and your future learning and development areas.
The new interactive version of the framework allows you to easily work through the questions in each of the detailed topics online and identify what your professional development level is in different areas. A downloadable PDF of the questions is also available for those who would like to do this offline.
We have also updated our webpages to include further information about the framework and how it can be used as well as resources about the framework so you can find out about how it can support your career journey.
