The RCSLT is pleased to be renewing our partnership with BBC’s Tiny Happy People, a UK-wide initiative launched in 2020 to support parents and carers in developing the language and communication skills of 0–4-year-old children.

The RCSLT is an official partner of Tiny Happy People, which has drawn on the expertise of leading experts in child language development, including SLTs, to create resources and advice for parents and carers.

“The collaborative relationship between BBC Tiny Happy People and the RCSLT is one of our most cherished. The RCSLT have been a guiding force right from the get-go and we’re really excited to renew our collaboration and continue working together,” says Joe McCulloch, Executive Producer for BBC Tiny Happy people.

The Tiny Happy People website offers a wide range of free films, articles, quizzes and parenting tips that have been specially designed to help nurture children’s language right from pregnancy.

We encourage all RCSLT members, particularly those working young children and families, to check out the Tiny Happy People resources and share them with your networks.

Champions Training

BBC Tiny Happy People are running free Champions Training sessions in May and June, revealing everything you need to know about the initiative. The training is relevant for everyone and will explain their approach, show you content on the website and highlight key language techniques and resources that are available for you to share with families and colleagues.
