A cross-disciplinary group representing a number of professional bodies, the Allied Health Professions (AHP) Outcome Measures UK Working Group, has developed a checklist to assist individual AHPs and teams with selecting appropriate outcome measures:

Key questions to ask when selecting outcome measures: a checklist for allied health professionals

The checklist is intended to guide discussions and support decision-making. It contains some key questions to ask when considering which outcome measure is most suitable for your area of practice.

The AHP Outcome Measures UK Working Group consists of representatives from the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, The British Dietetic Association, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, College of Podiatry, Institute of Osteopathy and Royal College of Occupational Therapists.

Should you have any feedback about this resource, please contact info@rcslt.org. For profession-specific enquiries, please contact the relevant professional body.

Please note, the checklist can be completed electronically. You will need to download the form and save the changes.
