We’re launching an ambitious project to gain a clearer picture of speech and language therapy across the UK –  and we need your help!

We want to know more about your career journey and where you work so that we can better support the profession. Our Horizon project will help us make sure we’re meeting our members needs now and in the future.

To do this, we’re asking all our members to complete a short, online member profile.

This information will help us to:

  • Drive forward our ambitions for an equal, diverse and inclusive profession
  • Inform and strengthen our policy and influencing work to improve things for you and your service users
  • Share information with members to support the development of business cases for funding and resources
  • Prioritise our work based on members’ needs and experiences
  • Deliver on many of the ambitions outlined in our Five Year Vision
  • Target communications and requests to the right members.

How to get involved

Whether you work in Strathclyde or Southampton, are a student, NQP or retired member, we want to know more about you and your life in Speech and Language Therapy. Whatever your membership status, please log in to the member section of the website and tell us more about you and your career journey.

Further information about the Horizon Project

We take the protection of member personal data very seriously. We will only ask for information to meet our objectives, and we adhere to all UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR).

The additional information is easy to complete through your existing member login.

Some fields are mandatory to fill in, like core contact details while others are not. However, the more information we have about the membership, the more we can do to improve services. You can find out more about the type of questions we’ll be asking you and why by reading our Horizon FAQs.

For further information on how we use member data, please see our privacy policy. The Horizon project has been developed with support and input by members.
